I was born and raised in Guangzhou (Canton), China. I was originally from the Hainan Island. Before joining the machine learning group at Cambridge, I worked on different projects in my undergraduate years, and graduated with a B.S. degree in Mathematics from the Dept. of Mathematics, Sun Yat-sen University, China, in June 2013.
I have a twin sister Yinghong (映虹) who now works as a CV & ML research engineer at toutiao.com (今日头条), a Chinese tech company that develops one of the most popular Chinese news app using data science technologies.
